Properties: Since November of 2006 the company has continually researched and had negotiations for properties in North and South America, including Alaska, Chile, Peru. Ecuador and Brazil with the goal to have acquired at least two good properties of merit for further exploration by the end of the 2007.
With the announcement of the acquisition of the Iliamna project in Alaska, a massive 318 square kilometers of potential gold copper minerizalition,a and the Chilean Properties of Santa Rosa and Marcelita another gold copper porphyry claim, Goldmark now has a least two significant exploration projects that can be advanced rapidly and significantly.
Goldmark will purchase all of Geocom’s interest, which comprises a 52.5% interest in the H claim section and a 38% interest in the D claim section of the Alaskan Illiamna project, a copper porphryr exploration project consisting of 314 sq kilometers of claims. Geocom acquired its interest in Iliamna pursuant to an Option agreement with TNR Gold (TNR-V). Goldmark will be the operator on this project.
In addition, Goldmark will acquire a 49 percent interest in Geocom’s Santa Rosa and Marcelita projects in central Chile, which are also copper porphyry claims . The Santa Rosa and Marcelita properties are located in the Zapallar mining district, 40 kilometers southeast of Copiapó, Tierra Amarilla County, Region III, Chile. The claims consist of a total area of 14 sq kilometers and are 100% owned by Geocom through its Chilean subsidiary.
The Illiamna Project is the subject of an NI 43-101F1 Technical Report filed on Sedar by Geocom. Drilling programs were conducted on the properties in 2003, 2004, and 2006. The Iliamna Project is located west of Iliamna Lake in southwest Alaska, approximately 450 kilometres southwest of Anchorage The property is approximately 25 kilometres to the west of the summer camp of Koliaganek, and some 40 kilometres to the northwest of the permanent village of Igiugig. It consists of 237 claims for a total area of 318 square kilometers.
Peru: An option agreement has been signed between the privately owned Peruvian company Minera Borboyona S.A.C. and Goldmark Minerals Ltd. on the 25th of July 2007 for the Huachac project/concessions. The option agreement covers a total of 10,600 hectares distributed over 21 different claims with the apparent potential for mineral deposits and was amended to include the Tocllano Project and another concession area 14 Km south of the Tocllano area. Goldmark has an exclusive option to purchase all or part of the concession open until January 31, 2008.
Ecuador and an overview of the Abigail Property: Goldmark, through it’s Ecuadorian subsidiary Goldminerals Ecuador, (Goldminerals) has acquired the 1745 hectare Abigail mining concession in Ecuador. All documents respecting the concession are in good standing with the Ecuadorian ministry of mining and the property is free and clear of all encumbrances. The cost of the concession is $45,000 US for the first two year term. Should the company wish, it can extend the term for the full 30 years by payment of a further $200,000 US and a 1.5% Net Smelter Royalty on production. The structure of the transaction allows Goldmark an opportunity to fully assess the concession before making a large financial commitment to its purchase.
The Abigail concession lies in the south east portion of Ecuador close to the Peruvian border in the eastern slopes of the Andes between the cities of Cuenca and Loja. Both cities have well developed infrastructure with regular flights from Quito and Guayaquil. The distance to each city is 60 km. The property is divided by the provincial boundary between Azuay in the west and Zamora-Chinchipe in the east.
